Almost complete - this project is for the technical design a bungalow in Kington. It focuses on the technical delivery of an EnerPHit project but without certification. Entirely wrapping the house in graphite enhanced EPS in combination with graphite bead insulation in existing cavities allows Passivhaus standard U Values to be achieved. To achieve the high performance required we have used 150mm Graphite enhanced EPS External wall Insulation; a section of new build wall that consists of I Beam and Warmcel recycled newspaper insulation. Initially we had planned for a timber I Beam roof with cellulose but eventually opted for a Knauf Glasswool insulation in a cut timber roof with a PIR lining, Intello air-tightness layer & Solitex breather membrane.
